Independence Day Celebrations at Amity University

The 69^th Independence Day at Amity University Campus were marked with feelings of joy and patriotism in full swing. The students and faculty members came dressed in shades of the tricolor and the entire campus was decorated with the same theme.

The ceremony started with flag hoisting followed by the National Anthem and a beautiful cultural programme prepared by the students themselves in order to pay a tribute to our national heroes.

Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, in his address spoke about the freedom fighters and the challenges and obstacles they faced to achieve political freedom.

Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, appreciated and commended on the students’ efforts to put together a symbolic cultural performance that portrayed the struggle in a convincing manner.



During the programme, everyone shouted slogans such as ‘Vande Matram’ and ‘Jai Hind’ and pledged to serve the nation to the best of their capabilities and capacities.

The highlight of the celebration was the replica of ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti’ that was created by the students a day before, where they all gathered to light diyas in memories of the martyrs who sacrificed their loves to serve the nation.
