IIT Bombay Radiance 2014: ENIGMA Receives Tremendous Response

ENIGMA, the online crypt hunt game of IIT Bombay’s Radiance 2014, saw a tremendous response, with participation from over 500 players.

The players racked their brains for over 2 days to solve all the 17 levels, and claim the top 5 prizes.

The Radiance team from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay developed creative questions based on genres like current affairs, engineering marvels, entertainment, sports and history. Apart from depending on Google for answers, players had to think really hard to find clues that were hidden intricately in the website's source code, url, images, etc.

Players from Mumbai and Dehradun managed to solve the last level and won the prizes.

Karan Rajwar, one of the players who managed to complete the game complemented the team for holding the quiz saying, "thanks for holding such a wonderful quiz...never used my brains this much before".

The Annual Research and Technology Festival of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of IIT Bombay, or Radiance, was first initiated in the year 2007. Over the years, it has built its own legacy and reputation of being a platform for fostering brotherhood amongst the Mechanical Engineering fraternity across the nation. It is a stage for discussion of the challenges plaguing Mechanical Engineering, of the wide world of opportunities that lies before us, and of the innovative and creative ideas that just strike people, in the "Radiance" environment.

With visitors and guests from over 100 colleges and corporate companies, Radiance is just getting bigger and bigger. The fest boasts of thrilling competitions, innovative and fresh paper presentations, exciting hands-on workshops and exhibitions that are a treat to the eyes and many informal events to relax your mind after the technical overdose.
