With the launch of ‘Start-up India Action Plan’ by honourable PM Narendra Modi, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Mohali has received a grant of Rs. 4 crore to develop an incubation centre for nurturing startups.
Promoting the same, a workshop on ‘How to Build a Startup’ was organised at IISER Mohali on January 29 to 31, 2022. The aim of this workshop was to equip the students of IISER Mohali with all the knowledge and initial skills, which are helpful in coming up with a successful startup.
During the workshop, all the campus startups pitched their ideas. During the following two days, they were being mentored to shape their ideas and take it to the next levels.
Anand Mohan, who was the facilitator of this event, said that after this workshop they can expect a few ideas to grow into successful businesses. He also added that he has equipped the young entrepreneurs with the knowledge of MVP, Business model Canvas, Naming of a start-up, website building, registering a company etc.
