IIM Lucknow has released a notice signed by CAT 2022 convener to invite applications from vendors to provide ‘Advertising Services for CAT 2022’. To some extent, this notice has put an end to anticipations as to which IIM will conduct CAT this year. However, no official announcement in this regard has been made yet.
Considering the level and reach of Common Admission Test (CAT), its administering is entrusted with the old IIMs only. Last year, IIM Bangalore conducted this management entrance exam and before that IIM Ahmedabad, in the year 2015. Now, IIM Lucknow will be conducting CAT 2022 with assistance from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which continues to be the testing partner.

Any management aspirant who has a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, passed with minimum 50% marks can apply for this exam. Candidates must go through CAT eligibility criteria 2022 before beginning with the form filling.
The uncertainties and surprising elements which are enshrouded in CAT every year makes it the most coveted one. It is a computer based test, where a mix of MCQ and non-MCQs are asked. Candidates will have to answer a total of 100 questions in 180 minutes. These questions will be asked from 3 sections - Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Verbal & Reading Comprehension (VARC).
Based on CAT 2022 score, IIMs and other B-Schools will shortlist candidates for granting admission to post graduate management courses. At present, 20 IIMs are operational in India, which offer around 4000 seats.
