IIM Lucknow Completes 100% Summer Placements in Record 4 days

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow has placed 457 students as summer interns across 157 domestic and international companies for marketing, finance and consulting roles in the country.

Sales and marketing, finance, consulting and business development were the top roles offered to 31st batch of the institute. The offers also included niche profiles in the finance domain apart from operations/supply chain, general management, systems/IT, market research, analytics and HR.

Talking on the successful placements at the institute, Professor (Dr) DS Sengar, chairman-placement says, “We try to maintain long term relationships with the recruiters. The recruiters engage in the campus events and also conduct case studies/ live projects/ competitions round the year.”

Given that the economy is doing and a lot of companies have received funding, we are hoping that it would reflect well on recruitments. So far, there are 80 PPOs for the batch of 2014-16 and many companies are yet to declare, Sengar adds.

AskMe.com, CarDekho.com, Hay Group, Nomura IB and Uber were among the 35 companies that were the first time recruiters on campus. Over 60% of these recruiters were from the sales and marketing, finance and e-commerce sector. Accenture, Aditya Birla Group, Amazon, Auctus Advisors, Avendus, BCG, Deutsche Bank, Flipkart, Hindustan Unilever, MH Alshaya, McKinsey, P&G and TAS too recruited from the campus this year. Students also received some international profiles from companies including MH Alshaya, Deutsche Bank, Hindustan Unilever and Kellogg’s.
