Every year, the IIFT exam notification is released by July 15 but this year is an exception. Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has broken the legacy of being on time by delaying the IIFT 2022 notification. Lakhs of MBA aspirants waiting for the release of IIFT notification are bemused with this not so usual act of the Institute. The reason behind the delay of IIFT advertisement is unknown and by far, no official communication has been made by the Institute in this regard.
Since past few months, IIFT has been the talk of the town with Mr. Binoy Kumar taking the directorship from the hands of Dr. Surajit Mitra, who resigned from the position some 8 months before the scheduled date of tenure completion. This is the first time that IIFT has got late in releasing the exam notification and the reason behind this delay is anticipated to be the change of guard.

What will be the consequences of IIFT 2022 exam notification delay?
Delay in IIFT Registration 2022
Due to the delay in release of IIFT exam notification, the duration of the IIFT 2022 exam activities might shorten. The impact is most likely to be on the release of IIFT Application Form 2022, which is usually released along with exam notification. This year, it has also been delayed, which might result in shortening of registration duration.
Clash of IIFT 2022 Exam Date with CAT 2022 Exam Date
As per the speculations and reports doing round, this delay in the IIFT MBA (IB) notification 2022 release may result in clashing of the IIFT 2022 exam date with CAT exam date 2022. Going by the IIFT exam trends, the exam date of IIFT 2022 is most likely to be November 26 and with this delay, there are chances that the exam date may push a little further.
On the other hand, the CAT 2022 exam date is likely to be scheduled in first week of December, probably on December 3. Now, with IIFT MBA (IB) exam date pushing ahead may either lead to its clash with CAT exam date 2022 or further push of exam date of CAT 2022.
IIM Lucknow, the CAT 2022 convener is expected to release the notification of CAT on July 30, which will be followed by commencement of CAT registration 2022 from the first week of August 2022.
