It is only a good mentor that can lead a leader to the horizon of success, believing in the same, The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) commenced its fourth training programme with Deutsche Welle (DW) Akademie of Germany for teachers and media trainers among others.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has commenced its fourth training programme with Deutsche Welle (DW) Akademie of Germany for teachers and media trainers among others.

DW is an international broadcaster in Germany and the DW Akademie provides services like media development, media training and journalism education.

"Train the Trainer" is aimed at propagating new training methodologies among academicians and industry personnel working in different capacities like teachers, researchers, media trainers, project managers, human resource managers, corporate entities and professionals, an IGNOU statement said.

According to IGNOU, armed with the professional skills and knowledge, the trained personnel would then be able to communicate more efficiently and effectively when they go out to train others.

"We have had three successful collaborative precedents in the past with DW Akademie. Looking at the great demand for such trainings and its long felt need among academicians and industry personnel alike, we decided to come up with this fourth training programme," the statement said.
