Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore in association with ICAI Indore Chapter hosted its 5th National Budget Seminar, ‘Demystifying Union Budget 2022-17’ recently. The objective of this seminar was to help ‘budding managers’ and make them understand the budget and its impact on greater goods as they are the next generation who will shape India’s future.
The seminar was carried out in three phases. In the first half of this session, there was a pre-budget analysis observed by the students, then a competition was held for students where they analysed the observations to the best of their understanding. In the later half, a discussion on Budget 2022 was conducted by various dignitaries.
The day started with Saraswati Vandana followed by Dr. Romi Sainy’s welcome address to the students from various colleges such as Acropolis, IPS etc., Prof. Kalyani Parmal shared about the budget seminar.
Pre -budget analysis was followed by live streaming session of Budget 2022-17. Post lunch, a competition was conducted for budget analysis. This was the first time Jaipuria Indore has organized analysis of live budget.
Topics analysed during the session:
Demystifying Union Budget for Jan Dhan, Jan Suraksha, Kaushal India, Kushal India, Digital India, Smart Infra, Smart India, Stand up India, Make in India, Foreign Trade of India and Union Budget for Common Man of India were the topics analyzed by students during the competition. More than 40 teams took part in this seminar from various colleges of Indore and around.
