HTET 2014 to be conducted on February 1-2, 2014

Haryana board of School Education (HBSE) will be conducting HTET in February 2014.

Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) is a state level test conducted for the persons recruited as teacher’s process and required to pass the exam with flying colours. It is conducted to ensure that the person recruited is capable of meet the challenges of teaching at Elementary, Secondary and Senior Secondary levels, one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools recognized by the Department of School Education, Haryana and affiliated by the Board of School Education, Haryana is that he/she should pass the “Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test”.

HBSE will conduct the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2013-2014 on the following dates with different categories.

Eligibility and Qualification:

Appling candidates should have following qualifications as prescribed by NCTE. The State Govt is authorised to make changes as per the GOs issued by them.

All individuals who posses minimum educational qualifications etc. as delineated in the service rules relating to the teachers of all the three levels (available on the website of the School Education Department, Haryana (www.schooleducationharyana.gov.in) and also in these guidelines are eligible to take the test (HTET) which will be conducted for the following three levels :-

• Who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V (Primary Teacher) and fulfils the minimum qualification.
• Who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII (TGT – Trained Graduate Teacher) and fulfils the minimum qualification.
• Who intends to be a PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) and fulfils the minimum qualification.

HTET Syllabus:

HTET Exam Syllabus is of 2 objective type question papers. Each paper will consist of 150 MCQs and each question carries 1 marks.

• Paper 1 Syllabus HTET 2014: For teachers of classes I-V (1st to 5th) in Haryana primary school.
• Paper 2 Syllabus HTET 2014: For teachers of classes between VI and VIII (6th to 12th) in Haryana upper primary school.
• Paper I and II Both: For those candidates who interested in teaching from Class I to VIII. They can appear for both the papers and achieve qualifying marks for all the classes.
