HP CMAT 2013 (Himachal Pradesh Combined Management Aptitude Test)

The HP CMAT 2013 (Himachal Pradesh Combined Management Aptitude Test) is held for admission to MBA programs offered by universities and institutes in Himachal Pradesh. HP CMAT 2013 is state level entrance examination which will be held this year on 23rd  May 2013.

The Institute of Management Studies (IMS) Shimla of HP University has been given the responsibility to conduct HP CMAT 2013 by the Himachal Pradesh state government.

HP CMAT 2013 Important Dates:

Sale of Application & brochure:  April 4th, 2013 onwards

Last date for receipt of application at HPUBS in person: May 5th, 2013

Last date for receipt of application by Post : May 7th, 2013

HP CMAT  Examination: May 23rd, 2013

HP CMAT 2013 results: June 1st, 2013

GD/PI: July 1st, 2013

On the basis of their performance in HP CMAT 2013, the candidates are offered admissions to postgraduate management programs i.e. MBA or equivalent programmes in the following institutes:

HP CMAT 2013 Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates who can apply for the entrance test of HP CMAT should be:

• Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university with 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates)
• Admission to MBA Programme is based on HP CMAT, Application Rating, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
• Students appearing in final year of qualifying examination can also apply.

HP CMAT 2013 Exam Pattern:

HP CMAT 2013 – Himachal Pradesh Combined Management Aptitude Test examines candidates’ ability in the following four sections:

• English Comprehension
• Reasoning
• Business Environment
• Arithmetic Comprehension & Data Interpretation

The HP CMAT 2013 is an objective type test. Each section would have 50 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs). Those who qualify the HP CMAT would be called for Group Discussion & Interview. The final offer of admission is made on the basis of composite performance in the written HP CMAT 2013, Group Discussion and Interview.

HP CMAT 2013 Application Form:

Application form along with handbook of information can be obtained from the various mentioned business schools on cash payment/demand draft at the following rates; subsidized and non subsidized-cash counter Rs 500/-, by post-Rs 550/-; SC/ST category subsidized and non subsidized-cash counter Rs 250/-; by post-Rs 300/-

The handbook of information will also be available at selected post offices in Himachal Pradesh for Rs 550/- for general category and Rs 300/- for SC/ST category. Demand draft should be in favour of Director, Himachal Pradesh University Business School, Shimla.

HP CMAT Test Centres:

Himachal Pradesh Combined Management Aptitude Test (HP CMAT) 2013 is being held in following cities.

• Una
• Chandigarh
• Shimla
• Solan
• Hamirpur
• Dharamsala   
• Mandi
• Palampur

However, the competent authority of HP CMAT 2013 i.e. IMS Shimla reserves the right to change the centres and schedules according to its convenience.
