It’s the first week of July and there's no tougher week for aspirants and exam-crackers! The results are out and everyone's got a number- a rank for some, percentile for some and good old grades for the rest.
That number is for some to their satisfaction and a majority to their dissatisfaction but as of now, there's not much you can do to change it (except re-attempt and I have no authority on that topic, so I'll stay clear).
Well, this article is not just to state the obvious or to make comparisons between those fate-determining numbers! It's about how best to make use of those numbers to their max utility! And that's to secure the best admission possible. And for that i'd like to describe it in a priority-of-points style in ascending order.
- Coping with the number:Yes, stated as before, that number may not end up as your best friend- a number you'd not really like to reminisce about when you're old and wise. But that's no reason for that number to be your nemesis! Don't think about it like it's too less( if its in percentile, percentage form) or too high (for ranks). It's just right! Maybe because of that number, you'll look for something that you may not have explored before in favour of that high-cutoff-course-you-don't-really-like'!
So if you get emotional about a poor score, simply remember- its just a number on that number line from Standard 4! Don't let it cloud your reasoning!
