Like any other paper, you will spot some easy, some moderate and some tough portions while attempting CAT 2013.
While there is no magic mantra to tackle difficult segments of the paper, concentrating on the positives instead of the negatives can do the trick for you, according to Alok Bansal, IMS Director Delhi region.
Tips to tackle difficult sections of CAT 2013:
Balance your performance
Top B-Schools expect you to perform equally well in both the sections of CAT. Therefore, keep that in mind and try to create a balance between both the sections irrespective of the difficulty level.
Attempt matters
When you come across easy questions, make sure that you attempt them successfully in reasonably quick time. Try and attempt most of the moderate level questions. When you are faced with difficult questions, don’t spend too much time on them. Keep them aside, for you can always come back to answer the remaining questions if there is time left. Don’t take chances here as it may cost you a year.
Cloud with a silver lining
You may find some sections in CAT paper to be the most difficult ones, but there are always some easy questions available in those segments. You should look for such questions to maximize your scores.
