Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Bangalore (SIBM-B) celebrated the festival of colour on March 16, 2014 with fervour.
Holi is the most energetic Indian festival, filled with fun, frolic and good humour. Holi symbolizes the triumph of virtue over evil. The arrival of Holi marks the end of winter. It is an occasion to indulge in joy, celebrated with unparalleled zest by the young and old alike.
The college’s colourful make-over was completed by the unfettered flow of gulal. Senior students, about to end two years of togetherness enjoyed celebrating their final moments at the campus. They filled the environment with mischief, love and laughter. The students danced to the tunes of famous Holi songs and brought the campus to life.
The event was organized by the Student Welfare and Disciplinary Committee of the college involving over 500 MBA students in the festival. The students were rejuvenated after the celebrations. It was one of those rare events when the students were able to take some much needed time off from their hectic schedule and enjoy themselves.
Dr. Biranchi Narayan Swar, Faculty mentor of Student Welfare and Disciplinary Committee, SIBM-B quoted, "Holi is the festival which frames the colours of life and happiness. It is a matter of great pride that SIBM-Bangalore is one such place which celebrates every occasion with the same zest."
Neesha Munshi, Coordinator of Student Welfare and Disciplinary Committee, SIBM-B said, “Unlimited fun with friends after all Holi is not just a celebration of bright colours but a celebration of togetherness. At the heart of it every festival is a celebration of friendship”
