Himachal Pradesh University to Accept AIPMT 2016 Score

Students seeking admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)/Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS) courses in Medical and Dental Colleges in the state of Himachal Pradesh can apply through All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) 2022 score also.

The Himachal Pradesh University has decided to accept the AIPMT 2022 scores for providing admissions to 7 medical and dental colleges under the aegis of the respective university.

The admissions will be based on the merit ranking of AIPMT 2022 in Government Medical/Dental Colleges including 85% state quota and 15% All India Quota seats. The merit list will be released separately for All India Quota and State Quota seats.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidate should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English.
• The candidate should have already completed or should complete the age of 17 years and must completed 25 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission.

About AIPMT:

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination. This entrance examination is conducted in two stages. Only those who clear the preliminary exam are eligible to sit for the AIPMT final exam.

Presently 15% of the total seats in all medical and dental colleges run by the Union of India, state governments, municipal or other local authorities in India, except in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, are reserved for candidates who qualify this examination.
