High cutoffs ki kahaani,pareshaan mummy ki zubaani

My son is in great wala tension.You know kya hai reason?He saw the cutoffs.Ek toh pyaaz ke price vaise hi increase ho gaye hain-upar se itne high cutoffs.Topper ke khud toh 99.6% hain.Upar se some colleges offering cutoffs of 99.7%.Stupid people-low on general knowledge. .My beta was crying aaj poori sham.He wants to do English honours from a ‘good’ college.But 92% kaafi nahi hain na.

Before board exams,I toh told him , “Beta,yeh saal hai bas.Study properly,get 90% or else you won’t be getting a good college.” He listened to me.Studied properly,You know kitna % he got?He got 92%.Now,you people would say ,”Toh PROBLEM KYA HAI?!” Behnon and bhaiyon,problem yeh hai ki DU has put the cutoffs at 97%-something for Hansraj,98% for Hindu,aur St.Stephens ko toh chhod hi do.Interview bhi lete hain!Phir bhi best toh yahi hain.

I told my son ki thodi der doston se Whatsapp pe baat hi karle.Thodi tension kam ho jaayegi na.Mujhe kya pata tha ki he will get more tensed.Some of his friends got through many colleges.Some of his friends,who are just friend-waali-girls,told him ki they got though Miranda House,Lady Shri Ram,Hindu and Hansraj,but see their confidence- “Apply toh English,Political Science aur History ke liye kiya tha.But sirf History hi clear hua first cutoff list mein.Humein toh History ni padhni..Isliye inn mein se koi bhi college nahi chahiye.” Mera beta poori tarah se toot chuka hai.

Aur 2^nd cutoff ka bhi kya bharosa? 99.7% ka 98.6% kar doge,maximum se maximum.Ya toh pehle hi bol diya karo “Class 12 mein 95% se upar nahi laoge,toh dream-college toh bhool hi jaana.”Arre,thoda sa bachhon…..
