Guest lecture by Mr. Subodh Shrivastava at Jaipuria Institute of Management

It was a blessed moment for Jaipuria Institute of Management Indore as it witnessed the guest lecture by Corporate Honchos Mr. Subodh Shrivastava Vice President and Business Head and Mr. Aksh Joshi Associate Manager at Kirloskar Brothers Ltd on August 26, 2013

Mr. Subodh emphasized on learning of pattern changes in business, and one should realize his/her core competencies and should be truthful to his/her SWOT analysis. He added that one should be active on using verb (action words) and should be careful while using it. One should always stand to his words and if one does not perform accordingly he/she has a tough life outside.

He quoted that it’s important to understand that to stand out of your competitors you need to be “Just before Time” i.e. JBT approach. A detailed strategy of Push and Pull Market and buyer market scenario was explained.

Mr. Akash on other hand brought students focus on Marketing and distribution strategies and value added results we get from there mass activities. He added on strategies he implemented in his organization to improve Supply Chain Network and stated various ways to provide incentives to Channel Partners through “Anmol Rishtey” program, retailers through “Kirloskar Family Bonanza” and influencers through “Captain Bonanza” program.

The duo discussed about their newly introduced Storm Android apps which scans their complete retail network, business channels and relevant data to be instantly received and services. It also covered the procedure for replacement issue or damaged materials.

Students raised valid questions regarding upcoming placements and the very way they should work to flourish their future with a bright career.
