Delhi Queer Fest, 2015 will take place at Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan on Friday, November 27, 2015.
The Delhi Queer Fest, 2015 is an independent of Nigah and looks forward to active public participation in formulating new directions for the future. Nigah QueerFest was a ten-day annual queer arts festival in Delhi.
Queer has a different meaning in different places and generations. Originally queer means "strange", "odd", "peculiar", or "eccentric. India has had its own interactions with queerness. For the people involved with QueerFest, their belief lay in the power of culture and the power of queerness. This edition of the QueerFest raises new questions: What is queerness now? What should it be?
Delhi Queer Fest 2015 invites interventions for an exhibition at Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan. The interventions can take the form of text, photos, drawings, collages, visualisations, animations, videos, comics, etc that engage with ideas of queerness and explore the question: What does it mean to you to be queer?
