Global Advancement of Mathematics (GAM-2013) conference at Acharya Institute of Graduate Studies, Bangalore

Acharya Institute of Graduate Studies, Bangalore in association with JANGJEON Mathematical Society is Organizing the 26th International Conference of JANGJEON Mathematical society on the theme ‘Global Advancement of Mathematics - GAM-2013 from August 1 to 4 2013 at Acharya Institute Soladevanahalli, Hesargatta Main Road Bangalore.

This International Conference proposes todiscuss several aspects of the advancement and Development of Mathematical concepts both in research and applications. The academic programmes of the conference include Plenary sessions, lectures and presentations of research papers. Nearly 32 delegates from different countries will be participating and presenting their papers at this seminar, in addition to the 150 delegates from across the country who are also participating and presenting their papers. It is believed that this conference will provide fillip to prevent mathematics from sinking across the world.

The JANGJEON Mathematical Society (JMS) born in historic Hapcheon, seeks to carry on Hapcheon’s proud tradition of excellent scholarship coupled with unquestionable moral fidelity. Loyal to its Hapcheon heritage, JMS strives to maintain individual excellence, faithfulness to responsibility and development of talents and abilities while adhering to core values of contributing to world peace and prosperity.

JMS was founded in 1996 by Doctor Taekyun kim to fulfill the afore mentioned values through free discussion and cooperation amongst voluntarily participating scholars motivated by a common concern for the general welfare of mankind. This ideal of free and open discussion is mirrored by society’s name, JANGJEON which rendered in pure Korean meaning ‘ Geul-BAAT’ the place of studies. With this significant symbolism in mind, Dr. Kim selected his birth place, JANGJEON as the title of this society.

The geographical attributes of Hapcheon serve as fitting symbols of its metaphysical properties, The Hwang River, flowing serenely past suggest a steadfastness of virtue, unshaken by secular concerns, infusing energy into all living things.There are many great scholars who are the members of JMS such as Dr. Seog-Hoon (Managing Editor, Kyungpook university), Dr.Hari M.Srivastava (Chief, Victoria University), Dr. Alexander Shtern ( In-Chief, Bulgarian Academy), Dr. Lee Chae Jang (Assistant –Managing Editor, Kunkook university), Dr. Hongkyung Pak (Adjustor, Daegu Haany university), Dr. Taekyun Kim (Founding Editor) etc.

The conference proposes to bring eminent scholars of Mathematics on the same platform to deliberate on the new dimensions, applications and strategies for salvaging the importance of Mathematics. In order to ensure that a wide variety of topics is being covered.
