About GITAM Institute of Science, Andhra Pradesh:
GITAM University was establishes in 1956 offering 110 programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels in Technology, Science, Pharmacy, Management, International Business, Architecture and Law.
GITAM Institute of Science focuses on research in areas like Nano Science, Nuclear Techniques, Energy Studies, Bio-Informatics, Networking and Embedded Systems etc. The research projects are funded by UGC, DST, DBT, DAE, BARC, CSIR etc.

Important details while applying for M Sc and MCA courses offered by GITAM Institute of Science:
Admission to both the programmes M Sc and MCA will be done on the basis of GSAT 2013 which will be held on 10th May 2013.
Eligibility to apply for M Sc programme offered by GITAM Institute of Science:
- Candidates seeking admission to various M Sc programmes of GITAM Institute of Science of GITAM University are required to have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in group (optional) subjects in the qualifying examination.
- Candidates who have already passed qualifying examination or who have appeared/are appearing for the final examination in 2013 are also eligible.
The GSAT 2013 consists of following tests. In each test, there will be 60 multiple choice questions. The eligibility criteria for each specialisation have been mentioned below:

Eligibility to apply for MCA programme offered by GITAM Institute of Science:
- Candidates seeking admission to MCA programmes are required to have a minimum aggregated of 50% in any degree.
- He/she should have studied Mathematics at +2 level or degree level or in the equivalent examination.
- Candidates who have already passed the qualifying examination or who have appeared/are appearing for the final examinations in 2013 are also eligible.

How to apply for GSAT 2013:
- You can download the application form from the ‘download file’ link given on the page.
- Applications can be obtained by post, from Principal, GITAM Institute of Science by Sending a request on plain paper giving the candidate’s name with complete mailing address, accompanied by DD for Rs 350 drawn in favour of GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank.
- Candidates appearing for more than one test need to submit separate application along with the prescribed fee of Rs 300 for each test.
- Filled in application along with attested copies of required documents certificates and the prescribed fee of Rs 300 should reach the Principal, GITAM Institute of Science, GITAM University, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam-530045, Andhra Pradesh.
List of documents to be attached with the application form for GITAM University:
- Date of Birth extract of SSC/ICSE/CBSE/Matriculation certificate.
- Degree/Provisional Certificate of the qualifying degree examination in the case of candidate appearing for PG programmes.
- Caste certificate issued by appropriate authority for claiming reservation under SC/ST.
- Medical certificates issued by appropriate authority for claiming under PH category.
