GATE 2022 Exam Pattern for Life Sciences- The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati will be conducting the GATE 2022 exam on February 4-5 and February 11-12, 2022. GATE 2022 Exam Pattern for Life Sciences
There will be 23 different subject papers consisting of 65 questions for a total of 100 marks. The exam will be conducted for three hours and will consist of objective-type (MCQs) and numerical type questions.
General Aptitude is mandatory for every student. It contains 10 questions carrying a total 15 Marks.
- 05 Questions of 01 Marks
- 10 Question of 02 Marks
The paper code of life sciences is XL.
Chemistry section is mandatory in this paper. It comprises15 questions carrying a total of 25 marks.
- 5 questions of 1-mark each- Total 5 marks
- 10 questions of 2-marks each- Total 20 marks
The other section of the XL paper (Sections Q through U) comprises 20 questions. The total of this section is 30 marks containing 10 questions of 1-mark each and10 questions of 2-marks each (sub-total 20 marks).
Some questions may be of numerical answer type. The subject code must be selected very carefully during the registration process. No requests will be accepted once the application form is submitted.
