GATE 2017 Counselling

GATE 2022 Counselling - The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) will all conduct separate counselling procedures for GATE 2022, for admissions to postgraduate engineering programmes. No institute will hold a common GATE 2022 counselling. Candidates who wish to apply in IITs and IISc Bangalore can check the notifications and apply. For NITs and other centrally funded institutions, a Centralised Counselling for M.Tech/M.Plan/M.Arch (CCMT) is conducted for admissions.

The application procedure for PG admissions at IITs and IISc Bangalore will start before the GATE 2022 result is announced on March 27, 2022. Candidates can check the IIT M.Tech Admissions to know the application dates for admissions to PG courses across all IITs. They are required to apply to these institutes on or before the specified dates to participate in the GATE Counselling 2022, which is held individually by prestigious IITs.

Candidates who have secured a score above the specified cut-off will go through an interview for direct admissions to M.Tech programmes. However, the rest of the candidates will have to appear for a written examination (Department specific), followed by an interview.

Candidates applying for admissions in IITs and IISc Bangalore must have a valid GATE 2022 score. The counselling process will consist of verification of documents and admission after payment of fees.

GATE 2022 was successfully conducted on February 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2022, across various cities in India. The GATE result 2022 is expected to be released on March 27, 2022. Candidates must note that the GATE 2022 result will be valid for a period of THREE years from the date of declaration, i.e. from March 27, 2022, to March 26, 2020.

The GATE result can be used for admissions in postgraduate engineering programmes in various engineering colleges as well as for PSU recruitment through GATE.
