Fresher’s Party at Cluster Innovation Centre, University of Delhi

 

 

Students of Cluster Innovation Centre, University of Delhi (CIC) which is widely known for its unorthodox and out of box courses, welcomed fresher’s of 2014 batch.

 

A fresher’s party was organized by the second year students of B.Tech. (Information Technology & Mathematical Innovations), B.A.(Humanities and Social Sciences) and Msc.( Mathematics Education) for the fresher batch. The event took place at Shankar Lal Concert Hall, North Campus on October 14, 2014.

 

The theme of the event was “Villain” where fresher’s were asked to dress up as their favourite “Villain”. The event started in a creative way where the anchors introduced the newly appointed professors in a creative and interesting manner via a presentation consisting of pictures of teachers when they were students. It was followed by loads of dance performances , duet songs and a Band Performance by students from all the courses ,the dance performance by second year B.Tech students was cheered and applauded by the audience, which forced many students from the audience to leave their seats and join the dancers on the stage towards the end of the performance.

 

 

A flute performance by Gandharv Mishra struck a chord in the hearts of the audience. During the lunch hour,students were seen gulping “Gulab Jamuns”. Then came the much awaited Mr. and Ms. Fresher’s Event which was triumphed by Uttkarsh of B.Tech first year and the Best Entertainer went to Shubham Jain who caught's the jury's eye for his role as the famous antagonist “Kancha Cheena” . Dr. Madan Chaturvedi , Director of CIC and Dr. Sukrita Paul Kumar ,Program Coordinator B.A.(Humanities and Social Sciences) even addressed the students . 

 

The Danish students who are studying Humanities at CIC as a part of a student exchange program were welcomed by Dr. Chaturvedi on behalf of the entire CIC family. The event concluded with the DJ where everyone grooved to the tunes of high sound music, even the teachers accompanied the students on the dance floor.
