The Centre for Pakistan Studies at Academy of International Studies (AIS), Jamia Millia Islamia instituted an intensive lecture on September 11, 2014 at 2.30 pm. It was conducted in collaboration with Jinnah Institute (JI), Islamabad and Australia India Institute (AII), Melbourne.
As part of this Series, Dr. Ishrat Husain, Dean & Director, Institute of Business Administration, Karachi and former Governor, State Bank of Pakistan deliver a Public Lecture on “Towards a South Asian Economic Union”.
Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia Chaired the programme.
Highlights of the talk:
- A farm interaction between scholars and experts between the two countries which will be beneficial to the academic community of both the countries
- to facilitate the visit of highly respected and distinguished personalities from India and Pakistan to each other’s country to engage a wider audience in New Delhi and Islamabad
- Find the means to improve India-Pakistan relations
