Mention the abbreviation, 'LSR' and a thousand dreams clinging to that very name come into picture.
Lady Shri Ram College, the ultimate dream college for every female humanities student. The name itself carries a certain charm. I mean, it hasn't been given the 1st position in the list of Best Art Colleges in India for nothing.
So naturally, it wouldn't be such a surprise if I’d tell you that I've always been a bit star-struck by it too.

[Voice in my head : A bit?
Me : Okay, a little more than a bit..
Voice in my head : A little more than a bit?
Me : OKAY FINE! A LOT! Happy?
Voice in my head : *smug face* ]

So, where was I? Yeah, star-struck.
Now imagine a teenager who is finally about to see something he/she has been fancying since a really long time. That's the kind of euphoria I felt on the night before I 'finally' visited LSR to submit my form.
It was a fresh Friday morning and the weather was very pleasant according to the rather high heat standards of June in Delhi. My dad drove me to LSR and I was, to put it lightly, thrilled, when I first saw the big bold letters of the college name on the main building. However clichéd this may sound, it was love at first sight! I entered through the main gate with a folder full of documents and eyes filled with stars.
Dramatic much?
Well, that's how it really was.
Anyway, I deliberately walked slowly to the room where forms where being submitted, trying to take in as much as I could of the red brick building, the manicured lawns and the long corridors. Then followed the pretty routine procedure of standing in a queue, which gratefully wasn't too long, to submit my form. I got to talk to these two nice girls standing behind me and there was this kind teacher in the room helping everyone with the regular admission queries. It was such a friendly environment that I immediately felt at ease. It almost felt like I belonged here. Before I even realised, my turn came to submit my form and this brief little visit was called to an end. But hey! I'm not so easy to get rid of, after all. I hung around a bit. Traversed the few corridors that were open for us to walk in and sneaked a couple of pictures before my father finally dragged me out, thoroughly annoyed.
As I walked out of the gate, I secretly whispered, “I’ll be back.”
