The first day flutters!

The day of reckoning had arrived. The time for the final judgment, the climax scene, and the final moment – that's what I felt as I woke up early in the morning. From getting well dressed to strapping a watch on to my wrist, my hands fumbled – shook with sheer nervousness and probably fright. (I won’t admit I was frightened. Well, I was but I think it didn’t show starkly in my face.)

During the 50 minute ride from my house to my sweet college, Hans Raj, I want in a deep contemplating mood; anticipating what would happen on my first day.

Taking the short E – Rickshaw Ride, I finally reached the college gates. Dhak! Dhak! My heart beats increased as I moved towards the entrance. Barely conscious to the world, I stepped inside that institution which will help me aspire for my dreams in the forthcoming 3 years. Ummm.... I stepped inside. Shall I say I felt like a deflated balloon?  There was nothing frightening, no Voldemort standing menacingly gnashing his teeth with his Elder Wand, just students rushing hither and thither; no one even caring to look at anyone else.

Stepping inside, I was bamboozled. Not by the lack of volunteers but lost in the sea of students. Ten times the number of students I had ever met in my life wasn’t what I was prepared for. But, calmly (With sweaty palms and a temperature of 106 degree Celsius, I am sure) I made my way in and after some help, I reached my classroom.

As I knocked at the door, a friendly voice called in, “Come in”. I entered to find a Professor with a smile and a class that stands out in a mile!

And what I thought was, “Ah! I have found my class”
