Final Results for UPSC IFS 2014 Announced

The results for the Personality Test conducted to appoint candidates for posts in the Indian Forest Service have been declared. The Personality Test for UPSC IFS was conducted in February, 2015.

Candidates were shortlisted for the personality test on the basis of the results of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination 2014 which was held in November- December 2014.

The final list of candidates recommended for appointment to posts in IFS (on the basis of merit) has been uploaded on the official website. Candidates can also go through the list by clicking on the link given below.

Final Result of UPSC IFS 2014

A total of 32 candidates from the general category (including 02 PH-2 & 01 PH-3 candidates), 34 from the OBC category, 13 from SC category and 06 from the ST category have been recommended for the posts in IFS. These sum up to a total of 85 candidates (including 02 PH-2 & 01 PH-3 candidates) who are now eligible for the IFS posts.

The appointment of candidates to the service will be made by the government in accordance with the total number of vacancies available and fulfilment of other criteria. As intimated by the Government, there are 85 vacancies (including 02 PH-2 & 01 PH-3 Candidates) under the IFS. The division of 85 posts under the different categories are as follows:

• SC: 13
• ST: 06
