Essay Writing Competition at Bhawanipur Education Society College

In order to increase number of students taking admission in Bengali Honours programmed in the upcoming sessions, the Bengali Department of the Arts Section of Bhawanipur Education Society College, University of Calcutta, has decided to initiate various innovative and academic projects that will aim at motivating the students of XI and XII standards to pursue their higher studies in Bengali Honors.

As a part of this initiative the Essay Writing Competition organized by the Bengali department on 19th September 2015 in the memory of their revered Guruji, Professor Nalin Patel, one of the founders of this college and a pioneer of Bengali art and literature.

The acting judges of the competition were distinguished personalities- Pracheto Gupta and Pinaki Thakur.

A large number of students from various renowned schools across the city took an active participation in the contest. The result of the competition is yet to be announced.
