Equilibrium, a novel by Paras Joshi

 

 

Paras Joshi, called Paolini of the east by his friends and agent, started working on Equilibrium at his sixteen years of age. Primarily written in the break between class 10th and 11th and then class 11th and 12th, the fantasy trilogy, set in a dystopian world, has been lauded by reviewers and readers alike. 

 

The author states his inspiration for writing the novel was 'an invigorating discussion with my mother on Bhagwad Gita and my own belief that good and evil are subjective and perspective'. 

 

 

 

 

 

The novel is about an orphan who gets involved in a complex design to save the world from an apocalypse following a failed break in attempt at a high security govt vault. The novel, written when the author was 16 was published after a period of 5 years, the time it took paras to make sure every little detail fit in with his plans for the future. As a third year law student, he's currently busy promoting the book across all platforms. 

 

 

 

He's already been on the cover of Brunch, spoken at schools and colleges, and most recently, judged a Debate competition at HMRITM's annual cultural fest at the invitation of Dhairey Sharma, one of the organizers.
