There are some who have sight and then, there are some who have vision.
And then, there are some who empower others to create a vision of their own.
One such empowerment story started in the year 2010 by an IIT Delhi, IIM Indore alumnus, Amit Grover. His journey was somewhat destined as the dots from the corporate to the self-owned venture were well connected. Alongside heading sales and marketing for Onida, he also worked on the operations of Mumbai Angels, India’s group of premium investors, where he had the chance to meet more than thousand entrepreneurs and many investors as well. It was then, that he was exposed to the need of training for entrepreneurs and that’s how Nurture Talent Academy (NTA) came into existence.
Nurture Talent Academy (NTA) conducts technology and entrepreneurship workshops for students, start ups, and professionals. The vision of the academy is to enable 1000 startups to create 200000 jobs in the next 3-5 years which further add to the GDP of the nation. These workshops cover topics like:
- How to generate ideas
- Build business plans,
- Fund raising
- Zero budget marketing
- Legal basics
These courses are conducted for anyone with keenness in entrepreneurship, from the students in colleges to professionals in boardrooms and for startups.
Some of the other events conducted by NTA are entrepreneurial workshops on business plan and finance such as:
Techhunt 2014: is India's 1st talent hunt for technology ideas across Indian colleges. It is a joint initiative of Nurture Talent Academy and Computer Society of India to award the best technological idea monetarily. The winner of the Techhunt picked the prize money of 1 lakh, at the Grand Finale in IIT Bombay last year.
Startup Yatra: In these knowledge meet ups, NTA takes 20-25 startups to offices of established and successful entrepreneurs like Jabong, MakeMyTrip, Businessworld, Spice Labs, Microsoft, for learning and networking. The idea is to experience the functioning of an organization from the outside as well as the inside.
Great Indian Marketing Weekend: This is the most recent initiative of NTA, with an aim to create a huge dais for networking for the budding entrepreneurs, where they could also introduce their nascent brands. Beyond the exposure, it brought together more than 50 marketing and sales veterans to interact with around 200 entrepreneurs with the purpose of mentoring.
NTA endeavors to answer the most relevant, following questions in an ‘infant entrepreneur’s’ mind with the help of these events and training workshops-
- How do I start working on the idea?
- How do I finance the idea?
- How can I sell the idea?
As it is much rightly said in the Rabbah, “In vain have you acquired knowledge if you have not imparted it to others”.
We wish all the very best to Nurture Talent and its Host, Amit Grover, in their endeavor to grow and help others flourish in their pursuit too.
