Eligibility criteria & Important Dates for admission to Foreign Nationals, NRIs, Persons of Indian Origin in National Institute of Technology (NIT)

Applications are invited for admission to National Institute of Technology, Srinagar. Eligible candidates are requested to submit the self filled application on or before May 25, 2013. Online application has available on www.dasanit.org from April 1, 2013.

DASA is a govt. scheme of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under which foreign nationals or NRIs are been selected directly for NITS, IIIT. Centrally Funded Technical Institution (CFTI) participating in DASA 2013-14 have established themselves among the top ranked institutions in both teaching and research and graduates are assure of a rewarding professional career. A degree from any of these institutions is among the most competitive of its kind when pursuing an international career in Architecture, Engineering or Technology.

The admission to Foreign Nationals/ NRI/Person of Indian Origin to Under Graduate programmes in CFTIs is being offered under DASA scheme of MHRD from the academic session2013-14.

Eligibility Criteria for admission to Centrally Funded Technical Institutions in 2013

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized institution. Candidate should have completed Mathematics, Physics and any one of the subjects from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology and Computer Science in 2011 or 12’ as applicable in respective boards.
• Must have secured minimum 60% aggregate marks. Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination with the above mention subjects in academic year2013-13 and expecting their final results latest by September 15, 2013 may can apply.
• Candidates should have a minimum total valid score of 1440 in SAT subject tests (subjects: Mathematics level 2, Chemistry, Physics)

• Submission of online application : April1 to May 25, 2013
• Last date for receipt of SAT subject test Score : May 29, 2013
• Last date for receipt of hard copy of completed application : May 29, 2013
• Announcement of 1st list of selected candidates : June 1, 2013
• Confirmation by 1st list candidates : June 1-7, 2013
• Announcement of second list : June 8, 2013
• Confirmation by second list candidates : June 8-14, 2013
• Announcement of third list : June 15, 2013
• Confirmation by third list candidates : June 15-18, 2013
• Reporting to allotted Institutes : July 15-18, 2013
• Announcement of vacant seat matrix for Spot round : July 22, 2013
• Spot admissions against vacant seats : July 26, 2013
• Reporting to allotted Institutes in spot admission : July 29-31, 2013
