DU’s NCWEB to Add 5700 Seats for Undergraduate Courses

With the intent to give some respite to the students stressed owing to the high cutoff lists, Delhi University’s Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) is to add 5700 more seats from the academic session 2022-2022. 

NCWEB that offers courses exclusively for women has around 6000 seats currently and 13 DU colleges as its centres. NCWEB to open 12 new centres to accommodate 5700 more students from this session onwards and will now have 25 colleges as its centres. 

The new college centres that will add to the list of NCWEB include Bhagini Nivedita College, College of Vocational Studies, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, Aryabhatta College, B R Ambedkar College, Ramanujan College, Aditi Mahavidyalaya College, Aurobindo College, Motilal Nehru College, Miranda House and Rajdhani College. 

NCWEB offers only BA and B.Com undergraduate courses and admits female students from the Delhi National Capital Territory (NCT). With the addition of 5700 seats, NCWEB will be able to provide higher education to more girls. The institute conducts classes on Sundays. 

It is worth noticing that NCWEB is preferred by students who want to go for the professional courses like diplomas and want to purse degree courses to become more employable at the end of the course. No non collegiate student, however, is allowed to pursue any other full time degree course.    
NCWEB will announce its first cut off list on July 15, 2022 and the admission will remain open for the next three days.

The second cut-off list will come on July 20, 2022. The application process will remain the same as that of DU and students have to submit the original documents during the admission process. The fee for either of the two courses will be approximately INR 3500 per year and no fee is charged from the Persons with Disability.
