The number of Delhi University aspirants keeps on increasing year by year. But, this year has seen an increase in the foreign applications also. More than 2,000 applications have been received by the Foreign Students’ Registry cell this year. The most surprising fact is that most of these applications are for the Hindi language course and they are from China, Korea followed by African countries. There are applications from over 65 countries including Germany and Japan for various level of courses, right from the certificate to the advanced. Due to this, the number of the queries was high on DU open days in South Campus.
Foreign applicants have also applied for the Faculty of Management Studies besides the Central Aptitude Test. The process for the foreign students takes about four to five months before any decision is made. The biggest hurdle is to check the recognition of the institutions where they have studied.
