DU presents Inter-college Classical Dance and Choir Competition 2015

Classical Dance: Rules

• One entry per college is allowed. Participants must carry their college ID Card
• Additional weightage will be given for the purity of art form
• Contestants are to arrange necessary costumes. The host college will make the necessary arrangements for green rooms
• Participants must arrange for live musical accompaniment/’play ready’ music cassettes/CD’s
• Participnat is to introduce the composition/dance form with all the necessary details like the origin, the tal, the story/bhav etc.
• Time limit is 6 minutes at maximum
• A registration identity will be given to the participants which is confidential. They are not authorised to disclose the identity of their college to the jury/members of the audience

Prize:

• First Prize: Rs. 2000/-
• Second Prize: 1500/-
• Third Prize: 1000/- (each)

Choir Competition details:

Rules:

• One entry per college is allowed. Participants must carry their college ID Card
• Additional weightage will be given for the purity of art form
• Contestants are to arrange for live musical backup of upto 4 accompanists/’play ready’ recorded music
• Choir group may opt for suitable dress code
• The group leader to introduce the compositions and the members
• Maximum time allotted is 6 minutes
• A registration identity will be given to the participants which is confidential. They are not authorised to disclose the identity of their college to the jury/members of the audience
