Gandhi Bhawan, University of Delhi is all set to organize a lecture on the theme ‘Mahatma Gandhi and Railways’ on Monday, 24th August 2015 at 3pm in the Library, Gandhi Bhawan, University of Delhi.
Mahatma Gandhi took to traveling by train throughout the country, after he came back from South Africa. He wrote letters to agents of various railway companies, newspapers and a book to highlight the conditions of travel especially in Third Class. He even tried to suggest measures to improve the same.
In order to bring out the interesting connection and work of Mahatma Gandhi with Railways, this lecture is being organized.
