University of Delhi (DU) and Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) have agreed to share their resources, teachers, ideas and learning and come together for special events. This collaboration is to exchange ideas and learning. Both the universities have invited Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) to join their endeavour.
This collaboration was announced at the closing ceremony of JMI’s 96th Foundation Day celebration, where they discussed about opening up avenues through which sharing of resources such as teachers, laboratory facilities, databases, libraries will be made possible between the two universities.
DU and JMI are yet to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This step is aimed at building a healthy, transparent, fair, corruption free and prejudice free atmosphere. Institutions amalgamating to become one and work towards achieving such goals can do this. Two universities are moving forward to share ‘share resources to make their optimal use.’
Delhi University and Jamia Millia Islamia look towards adding on to more and more universities to share this responsibility and make a better use of the opportunity. The two central universities have invited Jawaharlal Nehru University to collaborate in this initiative and work together.
Jamia Millia Islamia Convocation
JMI will be holding its annual convocation on November 11, 2022 at the Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi Sports Complex. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Union Minister of State for HRD (Higher Education), will be the chief guest at the function. Qualifying candidates can register themselves by November 9, 2022 to be able to attend the convocation ceremony.
