Delhi University is one of the prestigious universities in India, where lakhs of students from all across India apply for admission. The University offers several undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Commerce and Science streams. This year around 2.2 lakh candidates applied for 54,000 seats in 83 colleges. As most of Delhi University UG admissions 2022 are merit based, the colleges release different cut off lists for various streams and courses.
DU cut off 2022 is the minimum marks requirement candidates need to meet to secure admission at any Delhi University college. Though DU releases multiple cut-off lists to fill all the seats, this year the University has decided to release only five cut off lists out of which three cut-offs have already been announced. The cut-off round for academic session 2022-18 at Delhi University started from June 23. DU first cut-off 2022 was released on June 23 followed by second and third cut-off lists on July 1 and July 6 respectively. There was a dip in DU cut-off 2022 as compared to 2022, which gave students more options of courses as well as colleges.

DU Arts First Cut-off List
DU released first cut-off list for art colleges on 23 June. The cut-off tab for maximum colleges was around 97 per cent. As compare to Du cut-off 2022, there was a marginal dip in the cut-off percentage this year. Most of the top colleges including LSR, Kirorimal College, and SRCC kept cut-off percent between 97 to 97.75 per cent for BA Economics (Hons). The biggest surprise was from Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College which kept the bar at highest for arts courses with 99 per cent figure. Cut-off percentage for BA Economics (Hons) and BA English (Hons) at SGBT was 98.25 and 98.75% respectively.
Lowest cut-offs in DU first cut-off list 2022 was for courses in Hindi and Sanskrit (Hons) which was in 60-70% bracket for most of the Delhi University colleges.

In accordance with affiliated DU colleges, Delhi University announced second cut-off list on July 1. College like Bharati College (W), SRCC, College of Vocational Studies, Daulat Ram College, Hindu College, and Dyal Singh College closed admission in BA programmes for general category. Most of the top colleges, which had seats for arts courses kept the cut-off realm above 90%. Cut-off percentage of DU north campus colleges, Hans Raj and Hindu College went down to 97 and 97.25% respectively for BA Economic (Hons).
Certain arts courses were closed in many DU colleges even before the release of the second cut-off list. LSR closed admissions for BA (Hons) Economics, History, Philosophy, and Sociology while Kamala Nehru College closed admission to BA (Hons) History and BA programme.

DU Arts Third Cut-off List
Many top colleges including Dyal Singh, Gargi, Satya Wati College Evening and Mata Sundri closed admission for arts courses with the release of the third cut-off list. There was a dip of 5 percent in cut-offs for BA Programme, which is the most sought after course at Delhi University. Further, a dip of 3% in cut-offs for BA (Hons) in English and History made candidates feel relaxed and apply for admission in the college of their choice.
Though seats for History got filled in 18 colleges by the time third cut-off list got released, candidates still got the option of applying for admission at Kirori Mal, Hans Raj, Miranda House, IP College for Women and LSR, among others.
As far as highest and the lowest cut-off percentage is concerned, LSR kept the highest cut-off with 97% for courses in humanities while with 88% Zakir Hussain Evening College kept it to the lowest.
Seats are still available at Miranda House, Kirori Mal College, Sri Venkateswara and LSR for courses in Arts. So candidates who couldn't make it to admission in any DU college can still expect their names in DU fourth cut-off list 2022.
