DU College of the Day Series - Kamala Nehru College

History: Kamala Nehru College is a female only college of Delhi University situated in the ‘South Campus’. It was founded in the year 1964 with the name of ‘Government College for Women’. It began its journey with just 209 students and 16 staff members. The college was renamed as ‘Modern College for Women’ in the year 1966-67 before shifting to its current title in the year 1972.

Courses: The College offers courses in the Arts and Commerce streams and add on course in the French language is very popular. The college emphasizes on thinking and generating a passion for curiosity. As a result, there are numerous clubs, societies and other facilities that cultivate these qualities in the students.
