Delhi University has increased the choice of subjects for its aspirants in the year 2014. The varsity has decided to introduce an undergraduate course in Forensic Sciences. The candidates can now choose this subject in their OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) forms but there are some conditions that apply.
The number of colleges that will offer this course are yet to be decided by the Academic Council. However, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College has been given the approval to start this course.
Malay Neerav, Delhi University joint dean of students’ welfare and media co-ordinator, at a press conference, said that the Vice Chancellor has introduced this course because there is a shortage of Forensic Scientists and experts in the Para- Military Forces in the country.
