Delhi University’s Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC) conducted an open day on Wednesday for admission to its undergraduate courses. The centre, started three years ago, has two undergraduate courses and one postgraduate course. The undergraduate courses offered are BTech Humanities (Under Meta College Concept) and BTech with Mathematics and IT.
Currently, there are 40 seats in each of the undergraduate courses and the first batch of students will pass out in 2015.
The open day was held to familiarise the students with the courses it has to offer. Around 100 candidates attended the open house.
“Once the students pass out, people will get to know about it. I think information about the course is slowly spreading,” said Dr Sukrita Paul Kumar, programme coordinator, BTech Humanities.
CIC is set to begin its admission procedure on June 24. Application forms are available both online and offline. The last day for submission of forms is July 25.

“My mother and I are very impressed by the course and I’m planning to apply for BTech in Mathematics. I have already applied in honours courses in DU and BTech courses in other universities as well” said Rubin Jot Kaur, an aspirant.
“Although the concept is new and innovative, it sometimes becomes a burden on the students in terms of finance and attendance. We need to go to other regular colleges to study our papers and to far-off places for projects. It becomes difficult to manage finances and time,” said Subhash, a student.
