Dr. Ambedakar Institute of Technology for Handicapped, Kanpur organizes an event on Chemical Engineering

Sustainable development and pollution control are the topics which always attracts the attention of all the environmental specialist. They both are interlinked. Sustainable development refers to a mode of human development using resources to meet up the human needs without destroying the environmental balance.

Pollution can be described as the result of the release to air, water or soil from any process or of any substance, which is capable of causing harm to man or other living organisms supported by the environment. Pollution prevention is now a core part of sustainable development as it is the gateway to ‘sustainability’

Keeping it in mind, Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology is all set to organize an event where scholars will discuss on ongoing topic Sustainable Development and Pollution. It is expected to be held on April 11-12, 2013 at Institute campus. Chief Guest will be Prof. Prem Vrat (Honorable Vice chancellor of U.P.T.U. Lucknow ). Event includes activities like Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation, Quiz & many more. Professors from I.I.T. Kanpur, H.B.T.I. Kanpur, I.E.T. lucknow will deliver their lectures on respective topics.

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Handicapped (AITH) Kanpur is a government engineering institute. It was founded in 1997, focuses specially to educate physically disabled students. It is an autonomous institute aims at spreading technical education through undergraduate and diploma courses. The Undergraduate level course is open for all where as the diploma level course is exclusively for handicapped. The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education ( AICTE), New Delhi, and affiliated to the Uttar Pradesh Technical University, UPTU, Lucknow.
