DK Quiz Offers An Opportunity to Students to Go Beyond Textbooks

DK India, in association with Quizcraft Global and Eureka Bookstore, presented the 3rd edition of The DK Quiz, an exciting school-level knowledge programme for schools of the Delhi-NCR region.

Designed to educate and evaluate students from classes 7–9, the DK Quiz offers an opportunity to go beyond textbooks. Instead of asking schools to handpick teams, the Quiz teams conducted preliminary rounds involving all children in the participating schools, thereby bringing more students into the fold. The intra-school series, which started on 13th July, has covered 45 schools this year and involved 7,470 students. The winning team from each school participated in the Inter-School Finale at the Arya Auditorium, New Delhi on 14th October.

The event witnessed 45 student teams along with teachers and school leaders who enthusiastically participated in the quiz. The winning team comprising of Mayank Pant and Pranay Khattar from Rukmini Devi Public School (Pitampura) were awarded the DK Quiz Winner trophy. The DK Quiz Runners-up trophy went to Anhad Singh and Tarik Emiragikgoz from Bluebells School International.

The DK Online Quiz saw a significant participation from students across Delhi NCR and closed with 1,300 registrations on the final day. In this online edition of the quiz, Ashutosh Baluni from Bal Bharati Public School (Noida) won the competition and was also given a special wildcard entry into the DK Quiz Grand Finale.

Special guests present at the programme were Dr. Vinnie Jauhari (Director, Education Advocacy, Microsoft India), Mr. Amardeep Randhawa (General Manager Sales, HT Media) and Ms. Poonam Singh, Member of Teachers’ Advisory Panel (DK Findout).     

“The DK Quiz promotes curiosity, excitement and provides a platform to the students to demonstrate their knowledge beyond just textbooks. Our books encourage them to explore the world in diverse areas such as science, nature and popular culture in an entertaining and informative way. This year’s mega event is our third edition and the excitement and enthusiasm among the children was palpable and infectious. We definitely plan to continue this association with schools in NCR and more,” said Aparna Sharma, MD, DK India.
