The Department of Computer Applications of National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra organized a Digital India Workshop for the students of various schools and universities on 7 August under the supervision of the Head of the Department Mr. Ashutosh Kumar Singh and the faculty members.
Students from various colleges and schools including Dayanand Mahila Mahavidhyalaya, Geeta Niketan Awasiya Vidhyalaya, JMIT, and University College etc. came to attend the workshop.
The workshop started at 9:00 AM in the morning and ended at 5:00 PM in the evening during which snacks and lunch were also provided to the students.
The students were acquainted with the latest and trending technologies including Web Development and Android. With the help of the knowledge about web development the students can develop websites on their own and accustom themselves with the latest developments in the web world. Students also learned basics of Android apps development including Splash screen, Media player and Calculator etc.
Students were also provided Bus Facility from Pipli Bus Stand to NIT Campus. In the end of the workshop, the students were satisfied with whatever they were taught in the workshop. The event achieved a great success with the support of all faculties and students.
