Digital India Week, NIT, Kurukshetra ends in heightened Enthusiasm

NIT Kurukshetra celebrated Digital India Week, an initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi where various events were organized from August 7, 2015 to August 20, 2015 including Workshop on Website Development and Android App Development and Competitions such as digital art making, poster presentation, website development and android app development. The Dean of Student Welfare, Dr. A. Swaroop, Head of Department, Computer Engineering Department, Dr. A. K. Singh and Head of Department, Department of Computer Applications, Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Singh honored the occasion with their presence.

Many Students from Geeta Niketan Awasiya Vidyalaya, SMB Gita School, JMIETI, Radaur, DN Mahila Mahavidyalaya, USSMS, KITM, and MPPS Kurukshetra took part in android app development, website development, Poster presentation and digital art competitions.

2. Second prize-Sumit, Prince and Abhishek

• College level

1. First prize-Aman and Tarun
2. Second prize-Twinkle, Alisha and Garima

Digi-Art

1. First prize-Binod Nayak
2. Second prize-Aman and Umesh

Poster presentation

1. First prize-Team Rock of KITM Kurukshetra
2. Second prize-Anjita mittal and Jitesh Bhola of KITM Kurukshetra.

Android App Development

1. Devanshu Gupta of MPPS Kurukshetra.

The Prize ceremony also witnessed the Digital India nation spread video of the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendera Modi, and a video portraying the journey of the Digital India NIT Kurukshetra chapter. The winners also presented their respective work in front of the guests. The students of NIT Kurukshetra also presented a short skit showing the advances in the society because of the Digital India campaign.

The Digital India celebrations ended with heightened enthusiasm after the participants, organizers and co-coordinators were felicitated by the worthy guests. The campaign was a huge success crediting to the huge gathering of 350-400 spectators.
