Deadline to register for summer internship at IIT, Bombay is January 26, 2014

Under the guidance of Professor D. B. Phatak, Computer Science Department, IIT Bombay, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay will shortly conduct a summer internship programme in the campus.

The eight week internship program generally commences in second week of May and ends in 1st week of July, 2014.

Eligibility criteria:

• Students graduating in Computer Science/Engineering, IT, or Electronics

• Who will be completing 3rd year in April/May 2014. Students completing 2nd year, with exceptional academic performance and other achievements may also be considered

• Students with experience in programming will be preferred are eligible

Selection Process

• Candidates will be selected based on their academic performance in their college/university, and on their technical accomplishments.

• Students, who have demonstrated a flair for software and hardware design and development work, will be preferred.

• The reputation of the college and the performance of past students of that college in GATE examination may also be taken into account.

Based on the scrutiny, a list of candidates provisionally selected will be published first. Any additional information, if required, will be sought from the provisionally selected candidates. The provisional list will be published by January 31, 2014 to allow students to make necessary travel and other arrangements.

The provisionally selected students will be required to submit scanned copies of the following documents before February 14, 2014:

• A recommendation letter signed by a faculty member of your department

• A letter from your HoD/Principal/Director stating that the college permits the student to undertake the internship during the chosen period.

Selected candidates will have to report at IIT on the reporting date with 2 passport size photographs and original recommendation letter from your college Director/ Principal/ HOD (Head of the Department), as per the given format.
