Finally getting admission! (and the best places to eat at North Campus!)

After getting done with the submissions and confirming my seat in KMC,it was time to simply pay the fees,take the receipt and go home rest assured that I,at last,had a North Campus college.

It was a beautiful,sunny morning when I left for KMC on day 2.After form submission,I had to deposit the fees.And guess what?A long queue awaited me.A queue of about 100 people,moving at a snail’s pace,15 minutes for each student.If you have been following the previous blogs closely,then you must have realised it was afternoon now.Around 12:30 p.m.,with the blazing sun making life miserable.

1 hour passed by.Exhausted,I went to the canteen to get something to eat and drink.The KMC canteen has around 30 things on the menu,with only 5 of them being available at that time unfortunately.But students and parents flocked in,attracted by the dirt-cheap prices.You can get a club sandwich for Rs.12,masala dosa for Rs.25,and samosa for Rs.5 ,with the highest price on the menu being Rs.30 for chhole-bhature!

After a quick refreshment,I was back in the queue,which had almost stopped moving forward.And then something amazing happened-it started raining.Most of the people left the line,and seeked safer places to protect themselves from the rain.I,on the other hand,was happy that finally the line was moving forward.

It stopped raining after 15 minutes.Only halfway through the line,it looked as if I won’t be able to take the token,pay the fees,get the receipt and go explore North Campus.But the process picked up speed.In about 30 minutes,I reached the counter,took my token,and……stood in the line for paying the fees.Yes,you read that right.All this while,I was standing in the queue for a TOKEN.

Paying the fees turned out to be a smoother process,and it was over in 30 minutes-I had officially become a Kirorian(informal name for all the KMC students)

Now as promised,here are the best places to eat at North Campus-

Tom Uncle ki Maggi-Having heard so much about it,I just HAD to eat here.Finding it took a lot of time,but it was worth it.They have 12 types of maggi,with the special Masala maggi being the favourite of all the students.Also,its light on the pocket.

Chache di Hatti-One of the most famous shops serving chhole-bhature,people start coming in at 9 am and the shop is usually closed by 2 pm,owing to the huge demand.

Kamla Nagar market-Popular among the students who come here to shop,all the famous eating joints like KFC,McDonalds’ and Pizza Hut make it the most crowded place.
