As per the researcher, Moya K. Mason, there are about 300 million persons trying to start about 150 million businesses worldwide. This is a trend which can definitely be cited as the example for the shift in the mind set of the people as they are looking for more than just a job. But, in the trending phase of budding start ups and entrepreneurs there are few which are able to sustain and survive. Here’s one of those few.

This is true in entirety as what failure can really teach us, can never be taught by any success. Even a hit and trial can hit the bull’s eye if we are sincere in our efforts. This is my personal take away from the journey of this start up and its founder, Kriti Kohli. An ambitious graduate, with a marketing/advertising degree from the Delhi University, had nothing to lose when she joined a small start up just to keep her independence in a new city.
The two year stint at a digital marketing start up taught her the nuances of the digital space and then there was no looking back from then.
The experience and the learning had given her the much needed confidence to move on and take an early leap in her career. Though, all that came her way was not really what she wanted from her professional life at the time. Even lucrative offers did not seem good enough to lure her into a regular job routine as before. ‘Looking for more’, had become the unavoidable calling.
That was when the many roadblocks gave way to an opportunity to her to participate in an idea and take it ahead.
The Cufflinks took off in the year 2013 and soon enough, found people looking for the kind of services it had to offer. The start-up has been through some great highs and lows in its first year and is stable now after meeting its break-even, much sooner than expected.
