Combined Aptitude Test for English (CATE 2012) Results Declared by DU on 22nd June 2012

Delhi University’s “Combined Aptitude Test for English” (CATE 2012) result was announced today (22nd June 2012).

5408 general category candidates and over 1270 OBC candidates have made it to the merit list.  Only those candidates have made it to the merit list who had qualified in part A of the paper, following which part B was checked. Candidates belonging to SC and ST are exempted from CATE. Other than the  21 colleges of Delhi University that accept CATE 2012 scores, all the other colleges of DU will admit aspirants on the basis of class XII marks only.

No admissions will be done at Arts Faculty ,North Campus, University of Delhi. CATE candidates are required to take admission in various CATE colleges as per the various admission cut off lists announced by the University. Within the cut off lists, the CATE colleges will declare the cut off for English (Hons) as per the Consolidated Cate Score (30% of class XII marks+70% of CATE score). The colleges will be declaring their cutoffs by 26th June 2012

In case of any clarification on the results is required students are advised to contact: Room 44A, at the Dept of English, Arts Faculty, North Campus, University of Delhi. Contact hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 1pm ONLY.

CATE 2012 was held on 9th June 2012 from 11 am to 1 pm & was taken by around 14000 aspirants. CATE is a centralised entrance test to check and evaluate a student's aptitude for studying of BA (Hons) English from Delhi University colleges. 21 colleges of Delhi University will be accepting CATE 2012 scores for admission to BA English honours.
