About Delhi Institute of Advanced Studies (DIAS)
DIAS is a self-financing institution affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi. It provides quality education, with focus on professional excellence in the offered streams of Management & Computer Applications.
DIAS Social Responsibility Cell ‘Kartavaya’ and DIAS Eco-Club organized a Cleanliness and Sanitation Drive in compliance with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on 2nd October, 2014 in and around the institute campus.
All the students, faculty and staff members reported at 9:00 AM for the commencement of the drive.
The cleanliness campaign covered the following activities:
- Taking pledge with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi
- Sensitizing students for cleanliness
- Motivation for 100 hrs per year (2 hrs per week) voluntary service to cause
- Volunteers to clean the streets and area around the institute campus
- Educating and creating awareness about the importance of public sanitation and hygiene among the public.
- Distribution of hand-wash
- Cleaning and removal of unwanted material from Almirahs, cupboards, drawers and removal of excess and un-serviceable furniture and records
- Maintenance of Classrooms
- Cleaning of Hoarding/Signage’s of the institute inside and outside the campus
- Cleaning of all official premises
- Cleaning of Canteen
- Removal of Road side Vegetation/Grass
All the students were given a certificate of participation.
