As you inch closer to your class 12 board exams, it’s time to consolidate all that you’ve learnt and ensure that all the hard work that you had put in during the preparation stage is paid off.

In the last few days before the exam, spend time on mastering the scoring techniques instead of taking up something new.

Revision is the key to success. Pick up your NCERT textbooks and revise through all worked-out problems, diagrams and graphs. For each subject, attempt at least two full-length tests in the last one week before the examination.

While appearing for the exam, utilize the 15 minutes of reading time well. Also, you should have your own strategy to attempt the paper. For example, you should ask yourself if you are comfortable attempting long answer questions first or one-markers first and then attempt the paper accordingly to score more in the given duration.

Here are some mistakes to avoid in each subject:

English: If you are required to show a notice inside a box, complete the written matter, and then draw the box around it.

Chemistry: In physical chemistry, especially, surface chemistry avoid mixing up of variables in formulae.

Mathematics: Avoid doing steps in rough work; show all steps and rough work clearly.

Physics: Generally the exams contain a number of questions that are direct formula- and theorem-based. Therefore, make sure to revise these as many times as possible.

Economics: Do not forget to write formulae while attempting numerical. Ensure you label and refer to a diagram while explaining a concept through a diagram.

Accountancy: If your calculations take more time, or you are under time pressure to finish your exam, leave the totalling of balance sheet to the end. While drafting the balance sheet in partnership accounts, it is very important to keep your figures aligned and cross checked.
