Coal India Limited (CIL) is a Schedule A Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under Ministry of Coal, Government of India and is the single largest coal producing company in the world and also one of the largest corporate employers in the country. It virtually fuels and empowers the power sector on a continual basis. It operates 413 mines and 82 mining areas across eight states in India including West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Maharashtra. It produces over 84 percent of the country’s entire coal output and around 72 percent of the power generation in the country. Every year CIL recruits young talented professionals through GATE 2022.

CIL Recruitment through GATE 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates will be required to fulfill the basic eligibility criteria to apply for CIL recruitment through GATE 2022. However, these criteria will vary from one discipline to another. Given below is the basic eligibility to be fulfilled.

1. Candidates should have completed graduation or post graduation or equivalent degree from a recognized university or institute with at least 60 percent marks.
2. Candidates can apply until 30 years of age (for general category).
3. Only Indian Nationals can apply.

CIL has not yet announced the valid GATE 2022 scores. However, candidates will be notified as soon as the official notification is out.

How to Apply for CIL Recruitment through GATE 2022?

Candidates can follow the given below steps to apply for CIL recruitment through GATE 2022-

1. Visit CIL’s official website  and click on the Apply Online Tab
2. Read important instruction carefully and click on ‘I Agree’ button
3. Register yourself by filling up required information and details including category, applied category, mobile number, discipline opted, email ID, PwD category. Click on Submit Button.
4. Check application sequence number, user ID and password received on your email and mobile number.
5. Re-login to your account by entering user ID and password received through email.
6. Fill up the application form and upload a colored photograph, signature and all the relevant documents.
7. Before hitting the Submit button, check preview of the application form and make necessary corrections, if any.
8. Press Submit Button.
9. Make the application fee payment through debit card/credit card/net banking.
10. Take a printout of your application form and payment acknowledgement slip
11. Keep it handy for future references.
12. Do not send the hard copy document to Coal India Limited.

Candidates belonging to general/OBC category are required to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 1000. The Application fee will be paid online only.

CIL Recruitment through GATE 2022 Salary Structure

• Selected candidates will be placed as Management Trainees in E2 grade in the scale of pay of INR 20,600-46,500 at the initial basic of INR 20,600 during the first year.
• On the successful completion of training and passing the test, candidate shall be regularized in E3 grade in the scale of pay of INR 24,900-50,500 at the initial basic of INR 24,900 with probation of one year.
• Candidates will be given various allowances including Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and benefits like leave, medical treatment, CMPF, pension, gratuity, etc will be given.

CIL Recruitment through GATE 2022 Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of GATE 2022 scores, a computer based test and finally a personal interview.
